I had the most amazing conversation with my mom yesterday. We talked about her raising my sister and I, and what an amazing job I think she did. The conversation drifted into sex education somehow... I told her how grateful I was that she never tried to hide menstration from me; I knew from a rather early age that one day I would see blood on my underwear, so I didn't freak out. I have realized, after reading forum posts by other feminists, that I have been extremely lucky in my upbringing.

It makes me excited to have my own kids so I can teach them how to be awesome. :)
